Black History Month at CANS

Every October, Black History Month gives us the opportunity to reflect on the contributions and legacies of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities.

At CANS, we recognise the powerful connection between culture, history, and mental health. This year, we are celebrating individuals who have shaped the field of mental health — from early researchers who exposed the impact of racism, to contemporary campaigners who are changing policy and amplifying voices today.

Throughout the month, we will be sharing their stories to honour their work and highlight the importance of culturally inclusive care.

Check out our page throughout October to learn, reflect, and celebrate with us.
