CANS Corrymeela Staff Residential - Oct 2024

Corry1.jpg

At this residential the Board, staff, counsellors, interpreters and volunteers spent time together and continued  to work on our strategic plan ensuring that CANS will thrive in the coming years. We would like to thank Alison Keenon from EOS who facilitated these sessions in such a deep and engaging manner while ensuring that the voices of everyone involved in CANS was heard.

Everyone at CANS is committed to ensuring the charity continues to provide culturally appropriate psychological therapies for minoritised ethnic communities. We recognise that achieving this depends on continually developing our systems, processes, and services so that we can deliver the highest quality support to our clients.

This residential time together allowed all of us to build existing relationships and make new ones as we discussed, learned, walked and relaxed together. The work of CANS is challenging and we believe in the importance of supportive positive relationships between the Board, staff, counsellors, interpreters and volunteers.

Much of our time was spent working with Alison on shaping our vision and hopes for CANS. Afterwards, we enjoyed a walk to the beautiful beach in the unseasonably lovely weather, followed by a relaxing hand and neck massage with the skilled and talented Rachel Craig.
