Viktoria Mateova

As an Administrator for CANS, I support the running of daily administrative operations. I have over three years of experience in administration, following a 20-year career as a professional language interpreter. I worked primarily in health and legal settings, as well as in education, which gave me a deep understanding of cross-cultural communication and client care.

In my current role, I handle referrals, respond to public queries, and manage calls and emails. I apply many of the techniques I developed through interpreting to ensure effective communication with our multinational clients — something I believe is key to a successful organisation.

I speak Slovakian, Hungarian, Czech, and Spanish. I also hold a Level 4 Community Interpreter qualification from Open College Network and a Diploma in Access to Health Education from Southwest College, where I studied Psychology, Sociology, and Biology. I’m passionate about creating efficient systems and providing a welcoming, well-organised environment for both clients and colleagues.
