Ms Magdalena Matejkowska
Counsellor

RQF Level 7, MSc in Psychology, Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling TC-L4.
My initial degree in Psychology and experience working with people from different cultural backgrounds has underpinned my work and ignited my interest in psychotherapy and EMDR which is a powerful therapeutic approach that helps people recover from problems triggered by traumatic events in their lives.
The approach that I use in my practice is the Integrative one which takes the components from CBT, EMDR, Person-centred & Psychodynamic skills to provide tailor therapy in a way which is bespoke for my clients and meets their individual needs.
At the centre of my approach is the emphasis on forming a sound therapeutic relationship with my client. This is a relationship where the client is the focus and where they can be supported in a safe space to grow in their understanding of themselves and their issues.
Professional Membership: MBACP MBPsS EMDR-Al Ireland Practitioner working towards Accreditation.
